CMDB health and CSDM adoption
Trusted data first, so automation and AI make the right decisions. We assess, remediate and govern your CMDB, and take you through the Common Service Data Model in slices your teams can absorb.
Every ServiceNow capability you care about depends on the CMDB: incident impact, change risk, vulnerability priority, software licensing, and now every AI agent that reasons about services. A CMDB with duplicates, stale relationships and unowned services quietly undermines all of them.
We run a two-week assessment that scores completeness, correctness and compliance per class, tells you which CSDM stage you are really at, and gives you a remediation list that is usually shorter than you fear.

CMDB and CSDM: what we do for you
Our approach
What changes
- A health score you can track and defend, with the rules that keep it high
- Incident impact and change risk calculated from the service model
- A CSDM stage you can state honestly to ServiceNow and to auditors
- A CMDB that AI agents can be trusted to read
Questions we get asked
What is CSDM and why does it matter?
The Common Service Data Model is ServiceNow's standard for how services, applications and infrastructure relate in the CMDB. ITSM, SPM, SecOps, ITOM and the AI capabilities all assume it. Adopting it is the difference between a CMDB that is a list of servers and one that tells you which business service is at risk.
Which CSDM stage are we at?
Most customers who tell us stage 2 have pockets of stage 3 and large areas of stage 0. The only honest answer comes from the assessment, which scores each class and each relationship type. It takes two weeks and we give you the result in a form you can share with ServiceNow.
Can you fix the CMDB without a big programme?
Usually. The three findings we see most, duplicate CIs, stale relationships and unowned services, are fixable in weeks with reconciliation rules, Service Graph Connectors and a few data policies. The big programme is only needed when the model itself is wrong.
